Disaster
recovery planning is designed to prepare crisis plans for recovery of
critical areas.
From a practical point of view, recovery planning in
case of a crisis consists of developing complex, written procedures, which are
to be executed during and after interruption of continuity. Such procedures are
often called emergency procedures/plans or DRP. Such plans are prepared based
on interruption of continuity risk evaluations i.e. little likelihood risks with
significant outcomes for the company.
